They Do It With Mirrors
Description
Miss Marple visits a Victorian mansion which doubles as a rehabilitation centre for delinquents. During her visit a youth fires a revolver at the administrator. A mysterious visitor, Mr Gulbrandsen, is shot dead simultaneously. Miss Marple vows to discover the real reason for Gulbrandsen's visit.
To fulfill a promise to an old friend, Miss Marple is staying at a country house--with 100 juvenile and the heirs to a fortune, of which one is a murderer.
Miss Marple visits a country house filled with 200 juvenile delinquents--and heirs to a fortune--to uncover a murderer.
On a promise to a friend, Miss Jane Marple came to Stoneygates to find out what was wrong. The college, a home for juvenile delinquents run by her friend's husband, also housed the step children of her previous marriages. But Miss Marple was soon surrounded by a world of illusion, not reality. In the words of the conjurer, "they do it with mirrors." But who? And why?
What happens when sleuth Miss Jane Marple pays a visit to an isolated Gothic school for delinquent boys? A brutal murder, of course.
A case of murder with at least seven suspects, then two more murders follow. The most obvious suspect has a cast-iron alibi, it seems. Will Miss Marple unravel the situation
When Jane goes to stay with her friend Carrie-Louise at her home she soon begins to realise that all is not well there. Not only is this the family home but it is also a rehabilitation centre for delinquent boys and there are definitely some odd characters living there. Then an attempt is made on the life of Carrie-Louise's husband, her step-son is murdered and someone tries to poison Carrie-Louise....
Designed to follow the new-look series of Miss Marple books for the 21st century. This edition is completed and unabridged and read by Miss Marple herself, Joan Hickson.Miss Marple senses danger when she visits a friend living in a Victorian mansion which doubles as a rehabilitiation centre for delinquents.
